TIME SQUARE SHUTTLE

This project will transform the century-old Times Square shuttle, providing ADA accessibility and enabling residents and tourists to travel to and from the theatre district with ease. The project will enable direct ADA-compliant transfers from the 7th Avenue subway line to Grand Central Station, including a center island and longer platform with increased column spacing to facilitate passenger flow.  The project also includes a new street staircase going up to the pedestrian mall on Broadway, new signal, track, communications and other systems, and new/restored station finishes.
